Hey 👋, I am Ashok!

I am a software engineer who likes understanding how things work, from distributed systems and databases all the way down to CPUs and hardware. Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I write about things I'm building, breaking, learning, and occasionally obsessing over.

I've been fascinated by computers for as long as I can remember. What started with taking apart PCs and experimenting with software turned into programming, then software engineering, and eventually work on large distributed systems.

These days, that curiosity goes in both directions. I’m interested in systems at scale, but I also find myself going back down the stack, trying to understand what’s happening inside the machine.

TL;DR

Expertise & Interests

  • Product & Platform: Driving products from concept and MVP to robust, highly scalable enterprise-grade platforms.
  • Cloud & Architecture: Crafting cloud-native architectures on AWS/GCP using Node.js and Golang.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Building and guiding development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Always Learning: Continuously exploring the internals of computer systems, databases, and operating systems.

Communities

I was actively associated with multiple tech communities of NCR region of India, focussed on JavaScript and Go. One of my most prominent contributions was with JSLovers. I have successfully organized 10+ technical events and in addition to organizing, I’ve delivered 20+ technical talks across a wide range of topics.
